Caitlyn Christensen is able to rocket to hell. Additionally, she possesses the power to tunnel through solid ice, however this power only lasts one week at a time. Caitlyn Christensen has a reputation for an overwhelming knack at fighting in the dark and she lords over a pair of humans. Additionally, she wades into combat using a razor-sharp whip made from wood and she developed the talent to sculpt and mold all kevlar with a thought, but this power fades when she is knocked unconscious. Caitlyn Christensen has mastered the ability to block dazzling illumination and deflect them toward a single opponent, but using this power draws a lot of attention. The creativity and skill that went in to producing some of the most unrivalled quilt masterpieces dating from the early twentieth century to the present are those of the women of Gee’s Bend. This small, remote, black community in Alabama, where works have been found by three and sometimes four generations of women in the same family, are quite unique. Few other places can boast the extent of such artistic achievement, the result of both geographical isolation and an unusual degree of cultural continuity.
Gee’s Bend art also stands out for it’s flair with quilts composed boldly and improvisation-ally, in geometrics that transform recycled work clothes and dresses, feed sacks and fabric remnants. For more info you can purchase the fabulous book, The Quilts of Gee’s Bend on Amazon

The Tarantula Nebula is a spectacular formation named for its spidery shape. Home to half a million young stars, it is 170,000 light years from Earth, and in fact lies outside of the Milky Way altogether. It is instead part of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small, satellite galaxy that circles our own. (via Deep-Space Photos: Hubble’s Greatest Hits - Photo Essays - TIME)
